Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

BurlingtonPol Beats Blurt V: Three minutes faster.
I'm not going to rub it in too much, , but Shay mentioned his belief that 7D broke the news of Kiss's re-election to the state first. But they broke the news Tuesday night at 8:20, while I broke the news here at BurlingtonPol at 8:17. I was blogging at the channel 17 studio while watching live feed from city hall and I had the info at the same time they did. So to the best of my knowledge, BurlingtonPol broke the news to the state, not Seven Days.
I left a comment explaining this at Blurt, but I just wanted to include a record of his mighty triumph here too. It's a slow news day- although the world is still waiting with baited breath for Kurt Wright's decision about whether to ask for a recount or not. I really hope he does, and I've written to Kurt promising to vigorously defend him against any charges of sour-grapes if that's his choice. It's not about sour grapes. My first-choice vote was for Bob and I still want a recount. It's about election integrity.
As Ronald Reagan famously said "Trust, but verify."
I'm left with the following post-election questions:
Has Mayor Kiss learned anything from this election? Will he heed the call for more engaged leadership? Will he take steps to curb the partisan playmaking on the part of his CAO?
Will the enlarged Democratic caucus, with its bright new faces, get beyond their block voting and constant support for neighborhood NIMBYs?
