Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

It was a fun debate to watch because it was the first that really showed the candidates going after each other.
I thought Kiss held his own pretty well but Smith and Wright were far more...business savvy, I guess.
Montroll was just stale. He didn't really impress me. But, there is still time!
All three candidates hammered home the idea of leadership lacking in city hall, which I thought was a good tact. Smith, however, took it a step further. Leadership PLUS new ideas and new solutions.
I really don't know how this thing is going to come about and conclude but I bet you anything that the gloves will start coming off.
The gloves will come off and Bob Kiss will be reelected. There'll be fresh faces in the city council replacing Wright and Montroll which be most welcome. And Dan Smith can go back to being a Republican.
When a campaign drops anonymous comments designed to appear as grassroots support, it's called "astroturfing" and I am well aware of (and amused by) this phenomenon happening here.
When Richard Tarrant did it, he created entire blogs toward that end. It didn't help him though.
What I would prefer is for candidates themselves to jump into the comments and engage directly, and ultimately I would like to see city hall create an online forum for office holders to publicly discuss in writing, and in real time.
We'll get there, people. Just be patient and thanks for reading BurlingtonPol.com.
Don't worry, people really don't care that much about your blog. And the candidates will never engage directly on here because A. it is a little known and insignificant blog (even though sometimes I do enjoy it)and B. because three of them probably do not know how to use the internet. Sorry to be blunt, but please keep your ego in check, you're not that important.
Having all these Anonymous comments is annoying. Most of them certainly don't contribute anything to a discussion and are used to trash on people without being held accountable for their own words. One word for that: LAME.
