Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

The Fig Leaf of Intention
Saturday, January 03, 2009
Israel's moral defense that it doesn't intentionally target civilians does not hold water. The Israelis may not intend to kill civilians, but they still kill 100 times more civilians than the Palestinians do. The killing is grotesquely disproportionate.
If I throw a dart at this board intending to hit the bull's eye and hit the white part somewhere instead, I am just as responsible for that act as I would have been had I hit the target. I knew the odds when I threw the bloody thing.
And of course they call it "defense." Which is bullshit.
Professor Rovert Jensen of U. Texas-Austin said it best.
"Calling Palestinian actions "attacks" and Israeli actions "retaliation" is meaningful. "Retaliation" suggests a defensive stance in response to violence initiated by someone else. It places a responsibility for the violence on the party provoking retaliation. In other words, Palestinian violence, like suicide bombings, is seen as aggression and thus as the cause and the origin of the conflict."
Americans have A LOT to unlearn to know the reality of this conflict.
That quote reminds me of what another more radical Jensen, Derrick says about the hierarchy of violence.
His premise is that: "Civilization is based on a clearly defined and widely accepted yet often unarticulated hierarchy. Violence done by those higher on the hierarchy to those lower is nearly always invisible, that is, unnoticed. When it is noticed, it is fully rationalized. Violence done by those lower on the hierarchy to those higher is unthinkable, and when it does occur is regarded with shock, horror, and the fetishization of the victims."
One example he gives in the chapter of 'Endgame: Volume 1' on this premise is the police:
When police beat or kill someone, a routine event, their actions are (almost) always justified and they get off. Whereas when a cop is attacked the attacker is faced with the full force of the law.
Further, when a cop is killed in the line of duty there's a big state funeral with the bumper stickers "All Gave Some. Some Gave All." he then points out that garbage men have a much more dangerous job but our society doesn't glorify them.
If you look for examples of the hierarchy of violence you start seeing them everywhere. -http://www.endgamethebook.org/
