Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

Boathouse Systemics
Thursday, December 04, 2008
Just a quick reminder to the mayor and the city council- Whatever happens regarding Adam Cate and the Parks Department, the important thing is you fix whatever it is that allows huge wads of cash to go from a safe to a car, that might prompt investigations into embezzlement or allow employees to read each others' email. Stop accepting cash and get your I.T. people to enhance your email security. Integrity is important, but people come and go in these jobs. The systems in place are what matter in the long run.
One might ask why the Parks department does not use their own accounting program down at the boathouse. Same thing at the campground.
The whole Boathouse issue is not about the money..that is just a sideshow. A sad sideshow, but one nonetheless.
How come the BFP has not written about the power play going on and the fact they (the BFP) have seen all the emails and police reports. Clears this mess right up actually. Might make them look bad in the near future.
And why are certain council members only now making this an issue...they have known exactly what has been going on for a long period of time. Oh wait...election time...I forgot.
The latest sideshow with Goodkind is just another attempt of his to get Parks and Rec directly under the wing of Public Works. I'll say that having worked in Parks for a few summers that Cate was one of only two people that I didn't enjoy working with. The man has quite a temper. I am glad to hear that E is as stand up as I thought she was. As for Pacy, he was the hardest working man in Parks, when I worked a 5pm to 11pm shift for them one summer I saw him more often than not when I went to clock out in the Pine Street office.
There is tremendous room for improvement in the way that Parks handles cash..Parking attendants are the most likely to get away with embezzling it as most people don't care if they get a receipt for the transaction, and if there's no receipt then there's no evidence in the register report at the end of the night that the cash is missing.
A few years ago the system involved one employee bringing the cash deposits to the bank and another one(of which I'm pretty sure the first was unaware) going around and printing daily transaction reports from each register and dropping them off in a secure location at the Water Department.
