Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!

Haik, thanks for sharing!! The photo was taken a couple years ago, after a day backcountry skiing. It was a long, tiring, day, after a couple days camping. We were lucky to get some good snow, and a great couple days of skiing, as you can see from the other photos on my Facebook page from the trip.
Just checked the website. Says what he's been up to. But, I don't see anything about where he's from. Schooling? Family? While I respect that perhaps he's a private guy, the people generally like to know a bit about a person.
Maybe I'm too cynical and should be more supportive of a guy who's standing on his work record.
Nonetheless...what his tie to the community? To Vermont?
I would be most interested in hearing from Dan about his ties to Vermont - a love of this state is certainly my #1 pre-requisite for any elected official.
As for the Burton comment - can't we worry about pictures of women on snowboards once we've made sure our neighbors are fed and kept warm through the season?? Call me crazy, but it may be time to realign priorities.
I find it important, because we live in a state that has a notoriously bad rep for keeping manufacturing jobs. Having the largest city in VT call-out a company that could move its operations ANYWHERE they want to, leaving a vacuum of not only jobs, but tourism and tax revenue, is relevant.
Not to down-play the needs, but there are more than enough agencies in burlington making sure that people are fed, housed and clothed.. and there is legitimate need, but here are also as many cases of social service junkies: Able bodied individuals, who, rather than find a job, tax the system designed to take care of those in real need.

I wouldn't say that. We've barely heard from Dan here. He may have some good ideas. His stated positions online seem vaguely good.

Bob Kiss has been pretty good. And I saw that largely because the street I live on just got paved. That's like 20 million points in the bank. Don't bother arguing Kiss doesn't deserve the credit for whatever reason. He's the mayor and my street got paved. You see how that works?
Dan Smith's campaign manager wrote to me. They don't know how to deal with this post. I'll probably be following up on this soon in a post I'll call "Dan Smith II." Yeah you know me.
For now I'll wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving Day and I'll count the things I'm grateful for myself. Like my street getting paved, for instance.
