Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

Pinnacle of Service

This was passed on by Linda Deleduka via a Three Virtues Neighborhood Front Porch Forum email. This kid Jon Flint will be fixing up the Pinnacle at Ethan Allen Park. If I recall, that was an awesome place for keg parties when I was in high school. Call, email or send money to Jon if you want to help...
***** "Dear New North End Neighbor,
Hello, my name is Jon Flint. I am a Boy Scout from Troop 50 in Burlington, and I have begun working on my Eagle Project, which is a requirement for earning the highest rank in Scouting. My project focuses on Ethan Allen Park, a historic attraction that has provided countless memories for this community since it became city property in 1907. Parks and Recreation has worked to improve the entrance and lower playground areas, but the Pinnacle area with which I am concerned has yet to see any major renovations.
The first phase of my plan focuses on reopening and highlighting the breathtaking views from the Pinnacle across Lake Champlain. The second phase will include repainting, repairing, and restoring the gazebo located at the Pinnacle. A rock garden will be planted beside the gazebo, and two benches will be installed overlooking the vista. These improvements will significantly enhance the atmosphere at Ethan Allen Park.
This vision will become a reality through help from our community. Preserving Ethan Allen Park for future generations will require support and a renewed dedication to insuring that this park will never become simply a photograph in Burlington's history. I am asking you for your help. Whether your gift is monetary or volunteering time, I would appreciate your contribution. If your business is interesting in helping to sponsor this project or in assisting with the purchase of materials, please contact me.
Here are three ways you can help restore the Pinnacle at Ethan Allen Park:
1. Make a check out to "Jonathan Flint- Eagle Project" and send it/drop it off at 33 Tracy Dr., Burlington, VT 05408. A gift of any amount will help.
2. Groundbreaking will be Saturday, August 23; we'll need help power washing, patching, and painting the gazebo, and cleaning up around the Pinnacle- there's a job for all ages and abilities! Email me at jon.j.flint@gmail.com to volunteer.
3. All the materials for this project need to be donated or purchased, so if you know someone who can get a deal on slate, perennials (dwarf juniper, spruce, pine, and arborvitae), mulch, top soil, or paint, please let me know by phone or email.
