Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

Kurt Wright May Run for Mayor in 2009
Tuesday, February 26, 2008
I ran into Kurt Wright at Hannaford a couple of hours ago. He was sporting a tie and a friendly demeanor. I asked if he was running for mayor next year and he didn't say no.
Here's a little something from the email archives. It's the only time in my life anyone ever challenged me to mud wrestle. Bill Simmon had the best response to the following email: "Unsubscribe." Date: Thu, 31 Aug 2006
From: "Snarky Boy" Subject: Mud Wrestling Challenge!
To: Christian Avard, Philip Baruth, Haik Bedrosian, Steve Benen, Neil Jensen, John Odum, Adam Quinn, Heavenly Ryan, Bill Simmon
Okay, fellas, let's get real. Here's the challenge: We get down and dirty in the mud and see -- once and for all - who amongst us is the Master of the Blogging Universe.
Speaking of which, I can’t celebrate my blogiversary without noting that the inspiration for starting She’s Right was none other than BurlingtonPol.com.
I had never even read blogs until Haik e-mailed me 4 days prior to let me know about his blog.
I am forever grateful! I love blogging!
Aw-shucks, Charity. It weren't nuthin'. Happy Blogiversary!
If you want to an audience to actually remember something, and especially if you're trying to persuade them to act on that something- you make it the first thing you tell them, the last thing you tell them, and you repeat it a bunch of times in between.

I dropped by the hardware store after my show on The Radiator this morning and said hi to representative Peter Welch. He's a really nice guy. I asked if he was one of those "superdelegates" we keep hearing about and he said he was- and would likely vote in favor of Obama. I asked if he would still vote for Obama if Clinton won Vermont (purely hypothetical, of course) and he said he would have to consider what the voters did. It's probably a moot point, since Obama will win Vermont, no doubt.
I asked Welch if he knew Ron Paul. He said he had met him but that's about it. I asked how he felt about going back to the gold standard, and he didn't have much to say about it. I guess that's way off his radar. I asked if he had any thoughts on the Petrodollar and he said we need a better energy policy.
I mentioned that today is my dad's 99th birthday and he seemed pretty impressed by that. We chatted a little about cancer (his wife, my mom) and we took a picture together. Heckuva nice guy. I'm glad I voted for him.
I do a talk radio program on Saturday mornings from 10-11am, and I do it at a little station downtown that I like to call "The Radiator" (105.9 FM Burlington) Well there's an open house there for the next three hours (2/14 from 5-8pm) so go check it out, upstairs at 215 College Street, Burlington.
"Add Congress to your Saturday" Congressman Peter Welch invites you to join him for Congress In Your Community This Saturday, February 16 In Burlington's New North End Hill's True Value Hardware 1127 North Ave. 10:30-12:00 p.m.
Stop by and talk with your U.S. Representative about what is happening in Congress. 1-888-605-7270, welch.house.gov
Here's the email I got telling me about a Ron Paul Meet-up at Nectar's tonight. Of course it's just called "Nectar's" now. Nectar sold the place to new owners a few years ago. There's a picture of Nectar with my son on the right sidebar of this blog. Heh. "A picture of Nectar." Somebody remind me to add a link to Phish.com. Somebody there reads BurlingtonPol sometimes. **** hey haik, just wanted to let you know because you are a big fan of ron paul that tonight the meetup group is going to be @ nectars @ 6:30pm to discuss an event we are planning for 2/27 which is a wednesday night...one of the owners, damon brinkman, is going to allow us to put on a ron paul night in expectation of the march 4th primary...we are going to have bands and videos from youtube...it is in the early stages of planning, but i thought i'd let you know because you are someone who seems to know i lot of burlingtonians...our pipe dream is to get Ron Paul to come to Burlington either march 1st or 2nd, but I doubt he will unless he knows he can draw a large crowd...and ya what happed to the show Monday...my next new show should be on next Friday February 22nd peace, steven hodska
Usually when I check my blog's site-meter stats, I can expect to see around 20-30 visitors by 3pm. I just looked now and saw that over 130 visitors have hit my site today. Weird. So I followed the referrals link and saw where they all came from...
They have a feature there called "from the blogs" that links to blogs talking about the topic of the day. I think some robot must have found my last post and stuck its link on the CNN politics page, probably because I used the names Obama and McCain twice each in the title.
Just a little tickle from the blogosphere. Stuff like that happens sometimes. It feeds my fantasies that maybe Rachel Maddow will stumble on my blog someday. I love Rachel Maddow.
Looks like it's the beginning of the end for Hillary. Obama is now leading in delegates and the calender and map are not in her favor. Without superdelegates and/or delegates from Michigan and Florida, it's virtually impossible for her to win. Obama can't win outright either, but he'll be ahead of Clinton. It's pretty much over. The MD, VA, and DC primaries Tuesday were mortal wounds to the Clinton campaign. She could conceivably drop out March 5.
***** CNN visitors: Thanks for dropping by- Please check out the rest of my blog on Politics in Burlington, Vermont- home of Senator Bernie Sanders and DNC Chair Howard Dean!
You want terrible local campaign coverage? How's this...I caught the opening statements from the three candidates running for the open W2 seat being vacated by Cheryl M. (P), in the live channel 17 debate tonight. The debate was moderated by the lovely and talented Lauren-Glenn Davitian. There's a Dem, a Prog-ish Independent and a Green. The Independent sounded the best in his opening statement, and since he's the Prog, he's the heir apparent in the ward.
That Hobbit Movie Return of the King is on TV right now. Poopsie is watching it with Yanna. I'm reminded that Poopsie dragged me to that movie an unbeleivable THREE times when it was in theaters. I literally slept through it all three times.
Today on Face The Nation, Bob Schieffer said to Mike Huckabee that he "literally crushed McCain" in Kansas. That's wrong, of course.
Here's a picture of Philip Baruth and Barak Obama. Click the picture to see behind it...
I'm picturing a bumper sticker with a clip-art graphic of Jesus taking a swath out of his beard with a disposable razor under the caption "Jesus Shaves." I finally shaved mine off today, 26 days after my mother died. Not the full Armenian 40 days, but long enough. My mother was English.
A friend of mine named John McEnroe ("You cannot be serious!") has issued me the "All-Bran 10 Day Challenge." I don't think I can eat bran because I'm gluten intolerant. I will make an effort to get more fiber in my diet though, John. And I'll buck up too. Thanks for caring.
This is rediculous. No candidate has ever used media like this before. In 1992 A Staffer warned George Bush that Clinton and Gore were "out there re-writing all the rules." In 2008 it's Obama changing the rules. You can't stop that Obama Baby video. No one can. Political advertising has never gotten into your brain like this.
It cuts to the quick like comedy. Ouch!
Add this to the "Obama Girl" and "Yes We Can" videos and forget it. Forget it. Maybe you think you have the media savvy and self-assuredness to resist, but you don't.
Obama Rolls from Sea to Shining Private Idaho on Super Tuesday
Wednesday, February 06, 2008
Well that was a pretty good "Super Tuesday," I guess. I kinda felt a little bad for Romney. The Republicans are coming apart at the seams. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but Romney is obviously the best they have, or had anyway. The military crazies and the religious nut-jobs of the Republican party don't know what to do without a rich preppy snob in sheep's clothing preaching Jesus and the Force Of Arms to lead them by their noses. George W. Bush was just such a leader. And the fools that follow him have watched for the last seven years as he's broken the law, stolen the treasury and sent good man after good man to die for his lies.
Obviously it's time for a change. We cannot entrust Crazy McLame with the nuclear button. That's just a non-starter. I love him for opposing torture and respect what he went through in Vietnam, but that dude can't keep his act together. Sooner or later he'll blather something stupid to his press corps and they'll run it. It's all fun and games on the Straight Talk express, until you're actually the nominee. Then they'll turn on you. Count on it, Crazy- you loveable old vulgar coot.
A tear for Ron Paul. The one real Republican in the race. When the candidates were asked if they thought they'd be endorsed by Ronald Reagan, Paul had the best answer. He said Reagan campaigned for him in Texas in 1978 and was very sympathetic to the gold standard. "Great powers that go off the gold standard don't stay great long" Paul said he said.
"Too much cheap money sloshing around the world..." bemoans Hal Holbrook in Wall Street.
But I digress. Obama or Hillary? Hillary or Obama? Either is fine. Obama's probably a little better. NOT Crazy McLame. He's out of the question.
...But maybe Rachel Maddow could be president someday. I'd vote for her.
