Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!

Mayor Comments, Gutchell May Step Down

Well, BurlingtonPol garnered it's first official comment from a former mayor of Burlington today. Thank you Mayor Peter Brownell for your kind words regarding Jo LaMarche, and for your willingness to take a stand and admit you read this silly blog. Good for you!
And in other news, word on the street is that freshman city councilor Craig Gutchell (R-Ward 7) may step down after serving only one year of his term, setting up a special election to fill the vacancy when we go to the polls in March. I haven't talked to councilor Gutchell about this yet, so I won't speculate about his reasons if it's is true. Poopsie was disappointed when I told her. She likes him and voted for him. I voted for Ellie, but I like Gutchell too. Props to him for getting so pissed about Brendan Keleher taking that extra pension. That wasn't right.
So who's gonna fill Craig's seat if he steps down? Linda Deladuka? Ellie Blais? Alan Sousie? You guys thinking about it? Anybody else? Jeremy Ryan? The vaccuum created last year when Ian Carlton left his Ward 1 seat lead to a 3-way race, while the regularly scheduled Ward 1 election went uncontested. Funny thing, huh? The Dems took that special election, and are looking to field a strong batch of candidates in much of the city this year. The Progs might lose a seat or two this cycle.
