Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

Beltline Slide Ramp Closure Successful
Saturday, November 10, 2007
I know it sucks that you can't careen around a blind curve onto North Ave at 50 miles an hour anymore, but at least it's a little safer.
By far the 2 most dangerous aspects of that ramp are:
1) People not knowing (or not caring) that it's not a merging lane, and thus DO NOT HAVE TO stop at the top of the ramp. People coming to complete stops there scare the crap out of me. And;
2) The snow piling high enough that you can't see the southbound traffic of N.Avenue. Lots of people come that way and pull the ol' "hey, I'm a bad driver and will merge into that far right lane w/o a blinker or without any regard to the traffic coming off the Beltline" maneuver.
The ramp isn't the problem. Like almost all other traffic issues, the plethora of bad and negligent driving is the culprit. Sorry folks, blaming design, or the city, or whatever just doesn't account for the fact that you can redesign that ramp all you want--bad driving will still prevail.
Oh, and the random pedestrian crossing is always a good time.
