Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!

A friend of mine just told me about seeing Phoebe at a show in New York City. He said she's like forty-three now and was there with her kids. He said she's still hot. I have no doubt that's true.
Politics Vermont started January 1, 2005 and will end December 31, 2006. That, my friends, is what is known as a two-year contract, the likes of which men like Mr. Tarrant and Mr. Hayes negotiate "for breakfast," as it were.
Regular human bloggers don't start and stop in perfect two-year intervals. I have to find a way to make you people understand.
Why can't I link to a particular post on that sketchy blog? Fake blogs are Sketchy. Politics Vermont is sketchy. "PoliticsVT Blanks on It" Puh-leez. You can't fake real, polvt. Ya coming to the next meatspace event? Nah! Even though there are like six of you- I bet you're all gonna 'blank it' huh?
Likewise, Ya can't let Odum see that old IP address, huh?
Yeah. I got your number alright. It looks something like this:
I've been watching my stats carefully, to see when the Hayes Group is on my site (they were reading BP at least twice today) so I happen to know very few of you read the "Deep Throat" comment string. Here it is front and center. It isn't proof PolVT is fake, but it is some serious evidence that Tarrant's friend Matt Hayes has been helping the Tarrant campaign in some sleazy ways. If you haven't already, take a look at this string...
I can't believe nobody voted for this film in the movie poll. It's about what happens in war. It's about life and death. It's about how stupid and cruel people can be. Stanley Kubrick directs.
Are you telling me this doesn't look the least bit fishy to you? Isn't it obvious Tarrant is doing these things himself and trying to pin it on Bernie supporters (or in this case, Bernie himself?) Look at how perfect that sign is! That's ridiculous! Who would do such a thing, and so well? The simplest explanation is usually correct.
Dean for America was an awesome campaign. I opened some of their mail and the letters were truly inspired, and inspiring. And his kick-off speech on church street was very good. I remember having this distinct feeling and thinking "if all we got between us and the ravages of the Bush administration- is this friggin' guy standing here on Church Street, then we are FUCKED!" I tried to help him win, but let's put it this way- of Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Howard Dean, Dean has the worst handshake by far. He was a decent governor. He would have been a decent president. Whatever. Howard Dean remains a prominent Burlington Pol. Dean for America.
Oh. And Howard and Zypher Teachout taught us how powerful blogging can be. Hinda Miller learned it. Joe-mentum learned it too. Don't let the trolls roll you into thinking Tarrant wouldn't be interested in a blog. That's bullshit. There's a lot of bullshit on the internet.
...They could end this anytime by coming out to a trustworthy reporter who agrees to keep their secret. If Freyne or Totten were to report that they knew who the dedgovs were, and knew they didn’t work for Tarrant, I’d drop this tomorrow...
Politics Vermont continued bending over backwards Thursday in an effort to discredit my assertions that they are a phoney, ever-so-subtle propaganda site owned by Tarrant. Again today they have featured a story about Sanders that includes a large picture-link to a Bernie campaign...
In a concerted effort to prove me wrong, Politics Vermont has bent over backward in a recent article "Sanders Responds to Tarrant criticisms: Creating Truth Blog"
Notice it has huge picture of Sanders that unlike the picture in "Sanders Releases New Ad," actually links to a Bernie website. I guess I can't criticize them for that anymore! And look! The story includes the URL forTarrant's 'bernie's record' site- that doesn't link to it! Wow! Maybe I was wrong! Maybe their slant is pro-Bernie!
Not!
These guys are smooth operators! And they probably get paid handsomely by Tarrant. But they didn't count on me, and they didn't count on you- the perceptive, critical Vermont thinker who can read between the lines.
Let's look closer at the 'latest volley' from the incredibly slick PR firm I've been battling...
Sanders Responds to Tarrant criticisms: Creating Truth Blog
Independent Bernie Sanders is responding to criticism's in television ads by the Tarrant for Senate campaign this week by preparing his own campaign ad response and also the creation of a Truth Blog to address and counter the Republican Tarrant.
“…responding to criticism's…” Not attacks by Tarrant, but “criticism’s [sic].” "Criticism's" is spelled that way on purpose. Constant misspellings and bad writing help "prove" this site isn't written by pros. But it is written by pros, pros who have carefully placed the phrase "Tarrant for Senate campaign" in the paragraph above, because it forces the reader to see "Tarrant for Senate." Slick.
The blog is actually very well researched with focus on who the campaign spokespeople in the ads are and attacking Tarrant for taking votes out of context.
Why the word "actually?" Are they surprised Bernie's team can do research? Notice here Bernie's site is "attacking Tarrant," whereas in the paragraph to follow you will read that Tarrant's site "focus' [sic] on Sanders' record."
This website is a response to Tarrant's website that focus' on Sanders' record, which is www.berniesrecord.com
Of course, the berniesrecord site does not focus on Sanders's record. It focuses on tiny parts of Bernie's record carefully carved out of their original contexts, twisted and framed and the least flattering light possible.
Not only that, but the airwaves are going to be jammed packed with campaign ads. We received a press release from Republican Martha Rainville's campaign stating that they have released their first round of television ads. So that means that Rainville, Tarrant, Sanders and Democrat Peter Welch will all have campaign ads going in the very not so far future.
"in the very not so far future" Again they are going out of their way to prove they are amateur writers. The message of the paragraph above is 'don't single out Tarrant when you see so many of his ads you want to puke- everybody's doing it.'
Get ready folks, we have another 74 or something days of this.
I wonder how many of those days "Poli-tricks" Vermont will allow comments on their website? And if and when they do allow comments again, will the comments that were there before the cut-off still be there after it? I sure hope so.
Following are many versions of one of the last comments made to me right before PolVT silenced their comments. Does this line of defense spark any questions in your mind? Why would anyone know how long they took to do a Tarrant post? Maybe you could search the archives if they hadn’t switched URLs, but who would? That doesn’t prove anything anyway. Tarrant’s a clever boy. He can plan a year ahead. This seems eerily coordinated. Like the kind of thing…oh… I don’t know…a shady PR firm might do in desperation while watching two years of careful planning and investment go down the toilet, or something...
From Freyneland “DUBIE WIND UPDATE:” 8/23/06
PolVT was up and running for 10 months before ever posting a single thing about Tarrant. Watching Bedrosian confront internet anonymity is like watching a caveman seeing fire for the first time. The rest of the internet has come to grips with it champ, suck it up.

"Politics Vermont is Fake!" 10 months without a Tarrant post. Read it and weep nutjob.

Right PolVT started and ran a blog for 10 months before writing a single post about Tarrant, but they're really a fake blog run by the Tarrant campaign. You are a genius. Why don't you show some respect for this blog, and admit it when you're proven wrong while you're at it.

"Politics Vermont is a fake blog paid for by Tarrant. Prove me wrong." OK - they were around for ten months before they wrote a single thing about Tarrant.
They can't stand the heat. Up really late again for the elderly, pregnant, "working people" people they claim to be, Tarrant's shrill "Dead Governors," have decided to kill their comment section for a week!
Ha!
From "Isaac Tichenor PoliticsVT Bureau Chief: "- I am getting a little tired of the bickering, the personal attacks and the overall mood on the blog."
Wow. He sounds exactly like Tarrant! Go Figure. Except there are no personal attacks! Just me pointing out the truth, and Tarrant's people can't stand it!
Now it's weird, The "govs" have never responded to my criticisms directly, only told me a few times to "keep it civil" which I have done. If it was your blog, and someone was calling it a fake, wouldn't you get on the line and defend yourself forcefully? Of course you would. These guys have not done that.
So it's off the air with all comments for a week at Tarrant's real fake blog. I don't know what good they think that will do them. I'll be right back on there like stink on a monkey as soon as they turn the comments back on. Rich Dick may as well pull PolVT. It's busted.
At least we all get a break from "Doodle" for a week, as that faker doesn't seem to post anywhere else.
8/22/2006 Tarrant releases Amber Alert Ad against Sanders
Republican US Senate candidate Rich Tarrant released another volley of television and radio ads focusing on Independent Rep. Bernie Sanders vote regarding the amber alert and prison time for criminals.
Click on the picture to view the ad.
Also, we have learned that Republican US House candidate Martha Rainville should be hitting the airwaves pretty soon. In addition, Republican US Senate candidate Greg Parke will also be going on the airwaves in his bid for the GOP nomination against Tarrant.
What do you think of the ad?
Story Two:
8/17/2006 Sanders Releases New Ad
Just a heads up that the Sanders campaign introduced a new ad to the public a few days ago that features farmers, a state representative, a student and a host of other people. Click here, to view.
Click here to view. Keep in mind that Democrat Peter Welch and Republican Rich Tarrant have also released new ads in the last couple of days. All ads are very well done and focus on specific issues. Tarrant's ad, however, is not doing so well right now on the net. We are having a tough time getting a good feed and a clear picture from the campaign website. Hopefully, after reading this they can correct the problem.
Now:
Compare the two stories above from Politics Vermont carefully.
The titles: You get what Tarrant’s ad is about (Amber Alert) and the phrase “against Sanders.” You get no information about Sanders’s ad from the title of that story.
The Tarrant story Introduction: Tarrant is the actor. “Rich Tarrant released another volley…” The phrase “another volley” serves to double the psychic gravitas the of the “current volley” in the mind of the reader. Then we get some red meat. “…of television and radio ads focusing on Independent Rep. Bernie Sanders vote regarding the amber alert and prison time for criminals.” “Ohhh,” thinks the reader. “What did Bernie do?” We get the phrase “focusing on Independent Rep. Bernie Sanders,” which is what Tarrant wants us to be doing. We get “amber alert and prison time for criminals.”
The Sanders story Introduction: Sanders role is more passive- as part of a campaign. “…the Sanders campaign introduced a new ad to the public a few days ago…” The phrase “a few days ago,” let’s you know exactly how important the reader should consider the release of the Bernie ad. Notice it isn’t “another ad.” It’s just “a” new ad. How are we hearing about this? By way of a “heads up.” A decidedly unsenatorial method of communication. How is Bernie’s ad depicted in this paragraph? By loosely meandering through a list of archetypes in the ad, but failing to report on the ad’s actual message.
Hmmmm. Yeah…
The Tarrant story main body: “Also, we have learned that Republican US House candidate Martha Rainville should be hitting the airwaves pretty soon.” That’s fine, but there’s no link to distract us with like the Welch link in the Sanders story. Then we get yet another mention of Tarrant in the context of his primary race with park.
Then, “Strategic Perception Inc.” the PR firm that writes Politics Vermont, actually tries to get free blogger focus group feedback on the ad they produced themselves! Can you friggin’ believe the chutzpa?! "What do you think of the ad?" I think it sucked!!
The Sanders story main body: “Keep in mind that Democrat Peter Welch and Republican Rich Tarrant have also released new ads in the last couple of days.” Take what we just told you about Bernie’s ad, and move it over in your mind to make room for thoughts about Welch (There’s a link to Welch’s site to distract away from Bernie) and, who else? Tarrant! “All ads are very well done and focus on specific issues.” Read: “Tarrant’s ad is well done and focuses on specifics.” Bear in mind- this is supposedly a story about Sanders’s ad, not Tarrant’s! But what comes next? “…Tarrant's ad, however, is not doing so well right now on the net. We are having a tough time getting a good feed and a clear picture from the campaign website….” Well that is intriguing! What’s the problem? “Will I get to see Tarrant’s ad?” thinks the reader. (Notice it’s “the” campaign website, not “their” campaign website.) Then PolVT has the gall to use this story to transmit a message to their partners back at Tarrant HQ to adjust the fine tuning. “Hopefully, after reading this they can correct the problem.” And they know they are reading, to be sure!
But the thing that tipped me off to the smoke in mirrors in these two stories, was the links to the ads themselves. For the Tarrant Ad, you can click anywhere in the 358x192 pixel screen shot and be taken directly to a Tarrant propaganda site where the ad starts playing. There is no screenshot from Bernie’s ad, just a photo of him. It’s not the worst photo, but it’s not the best either, and if you click it, it just gets blown up. It won’t take you to the ad. For that you have to click the words “Click here, to view.” Embedded in the story. Any computer geek or ad man will tell you how important the size of your link is on a webpage. The link to Tarrant’s ad has to be about fifty times bigger than the link to Bernie’s ad.
Are you people starting to see what I’m talking about yet?
In response to me having totally figured them out, the shrills PolVT have taken a number of steps in an effort to inoculate themselves against charges that they really work for Tarrant. These steps include promoting the idea Gaye Symington could be governor, and reprinting an op-ed piece by Matt Dunne.
Gee. I guess if they use their site to spread the messages of these Democrats, they really can't be biased, right?
Wrong. The only race that really matters to the "Dead Governors" is the Senate race. The rest is conversation. They don't care who wins the other races. They exist to promote Tarrant and denigrate Sanders in the slickest, most insidious way possible. That includes camouflaging that agenda with stories that would appear to help Democrats.
It's really really clever and really really subtle. See if you can pick it up. Just check out their latest post about Tarrant's Amber Alert ad, for example. That is an ad for an ad.
"Here is the truth: Bernie has been a strong supporter of Amber Alert. But he opposed one provision of the legislation which even former Supreme Court Chief William Rehnquist said, "would seriously impair the ability of courts to impose just and reasonable sentences.” The provision that Bernie voted against was later deemed unconstitutional by the US Supreme Court. Bernie has a strong record of protecting children: - In 2005 Bernie secured $130,000 for Vermont’s “A Child is Missing” program. - Bernie supports full funding of Amber Alert - This year Bernie voted to double funding for the fight against child porn Bernie’s done a lot for children over the years.
Tarrant’s mindless attacks and half-truths are wearing thin quickly."
The Capitol Bureau said... Dear Folks,We are all working people. I am on the verge of retirement. Isaac works in the Real Estate industry. Edna is about to become a mother and will be quitting her job as a Business Manager. Matthew just graduated from college and currently works in the Northwestern part of the state. We do not work on any political campaigns because we all work during the day. We do what we can by taking a very short break and posting stuff that we write in the evenings on the blog.
This story does not pass the smell test. All of these personas were focus group tested to evoke a sympathetic emotional response. Old guy about to retire, pregnant lady, fresh-faced and out of college... blah blah blah.
How and why did such a diverse Brady Bunch get together? Are they really going to disappear after the election, without anyone ever finding out who they really are?
Of course! why would Tarrant keep paying them after he loses the election? Heh, heh heh.
This election is like no other in the history of the state. Richard Tarrant has no financial ceiling and no ethical floor. Let me tell you something. Remember all that hullabaloo about “vermontsenaterace.com” and how it turned out to be a shrill for the Tarrant campaign? Well that was the fake blog we were meant to find out about. The decoy. The ringer. Politics Vermont is the real fake blog. The more astute among you may be starting to see this.
Also, Tarrant paid to have a pie thrown in his face on purpose. He paid to have his own signs vandalized on purpose. He’s paying people right now to steal Bernie signs as soon as they go up. He is clever, clever, clever and ruthless, ruthless, ruthless. He will lie about Bernie’s record. He will take things out of context. He will parse his words precisely to mislead and deceive. He will use cheap tricks like altering his opponent’s physical image. He’s thinking ten steps ahead, and he don’t take prisoners.
And very soon he is going to drag this thing into the mud and bring Vermont politics lower than we ever thought it could go. And he understands there will be a backlash, but he’s planned ahead on how to address that when it comes, too. He’s calculated it out. Get ready for scorched earth.
And here is how we fight: go here and get an American made “Support our Troops” car magnet. I just ordered one myself. Put it near the Bernie bumper sticker on your car. The yellow ribbon magnet no longer implies support for the war or Bush’s foreign policy. More and more it means what it says, and nobody supports veterans or the troops more than Bernie, or you. This is one concrete thing we can do as Bernie supporters to inoculate our campaign against what Tarrant’s about to do.
And remember, there’s no such thing as an impartial blog, especially one whose proprietors hide behind pseudonyms. Stay alert.
I'll go first. Anybody see Tarrant's lastest attack ad? I never thought I'd see that sort of sleaze in a Vermont campaign. How can someone so rich have so little class? I'm feeling ferklempt. Talk talk amongst yourselves.
