Take two thick slices of Noonie's day old bread, smear Honey Cup honey mustard
liberally over both. Cover both slices with green leaf lettuce. Then on one slice only lay smoked turkey on the lettuce,
a tomato slice on the turkey and sprinkle it with shredded carrot. Then on the lay a slice of provolone cheese over the
carrot then a green pepper ring on top of the cheese. Sprikle with sprouts. Cover with the other slice, lettuce side down.
The letuce should be stuck to the bread with honey mustard so it doesn't fall off when you turn it upside down to cover the
sandwich. Slice sandwich in half with a knife. Wrap in tightly in plastic wrap. Use too much wrap. Tape on label. Tadaaa!
Weighs one pound. Costs Four Bucks.

2006 Burlington Candidates Posted!
Wednesday, February 01, 2006
I just got the 2006 Candidates list from our able and diligent city clerk, Jo LaMarche. Thanks Jo.
Thanks for some REAL FACTS. I wish someone could do a piece on taking stock of the actual increase in the number of new businesses or firms, increases in new or rehabbed housing units, increases in new jobs, and other actual facts or indices of real development during the past couple of decades here in Burlington. Has the RATE of increase in property taxes/city budget been consistent with the RATE of increase in population? If there has been an increase in population, where has that increase been the greatest? Does city government increase taxes on relatively fewer citzens, or limit or control wasteful or unproductive expenditures? Those kinds of FACTS would be so helpful ;-) And you won't get them from City Hall. Or the Free Press.
